LITEM participated last 13th of June in the 1st Research and technology Innovation Workshop of UPC in Terrassa.

The research group presented a poster about the project “Design and validation of a vibration-based Structural Health Monitoring system applied to transmission electrical towers”.

Its objective is develop a Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) system for the identification of damage, serving as preventive tool, which can be used in programmed maintenance routines.

Methodology has been validated for a downscaled prototype of a GE19 tower in both a non-wired and cable-coupled configurations under different intentionally induced damages.
